Doc Let Beach

Spread the love
Doc Let Beach lies 50 kilometers north of Nha Trang, has been famous to many travelers as the pristine getaway from the city’s busy life. Boasting a seascape with powdery white sands, sparkling blue sea water and graceful palm trees, Doc Let lives up to your expectation of a beach paradise of your Nha Trang trip.

How to get to Doc Let Beach

From Nha Trang City, you can get to Doc Let beach by driving a motorbike or taking a local bus ride.

By motorbike, head to Ninh Hoa on the National Route 1 for about 38 kilometers. By bus, on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, catch the blue-white-yellow air-conditioned bus no.3 Nha Trang – Ninh Hoa – Doc Let. Bus starts around 6:30AM, costing 24,000VND per ride. You can expect it to be a 1.5 hour ride to the least.

The Beach

Even though the beach is blessed with breathtakingly beauty, not very many tourists have ventured here, therefore Doc Let remains wild and untouched by tourism.

This giant bay can be divided into three sections. The northern part is where most of the tourism action is, with a cluster of beachfront hotels and cheaper guesthouses inland. Looming over the central section is the giant Hyundai shipyard and port, an important local employer but a real blight on the landscape.

The isolated southern part is backed by a wooded promontory and has the best stretch of sand. This part (famously known as Jungle Beach after the now-closed hotel) was totally tranquil until late 2017. It’s now changing fast: developers have moved in and a huge restaurant to cater for Chinese tour buses was under construction at the time of research.
