After being lost in the thousands of stupas, temples, and pagodas, Inle Lake is a refreshing destination to enjoy the natural scenery. Stretched out on an area of 13.5 miles long and 7 miles wide, Inle Lake offers serene sights of an immense water region with stilt houses and Buddhist stupas emerging on the background.
The traditional fishermen of Inle Lake can still be seen in the lake despite the rise of modern fishing methods. Watch them for their rowing techniques, perfectly balanced on the boat while dipping the traditional fishing nets into the water. Come to Indein village or Kakku for the amazing sights of thousands of ancient stupas in red, white and brown colors and visit local Kayan women who wear large brass neck rings, stretching their neck unusually long.
