Recommended Itinerary for Ninh Binh Trip to Hanoi

With its close proximity with Hanoi and Halong, Ninh Binh is often articulated in a longer trip in Northeast Vietnam. A Trip to the three major destinations of Vietnam: Hanoi, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh is most suitable for a duration of 4 days or more since there are so many things to do in all the three places.

This trip will be a perfect balance between nature and culture, relax and discovery. Tam Coc, Ninh Binh as the last destination is a perfect endnote of your journey with outstanding values in both nature and culture.

So what exactly are there to do in Hanoi, Halong and Ninh in May to make you choose these destinations but not others?

  • In Hanoi, May is the perfect time to visit besides December. Why? The weather is not as boiling as in summer or too chilly as it is in winter. It’s a great chance for a photo tour in Hanoi since the weather is so supportive and the sunset and sunrise in West Lake and Long Bien Bridge are finest this time.

  • Halong Bay, obviously, is worth visit in summer than in winter. However, June – August is the peak season of domestic tourism, and it’s also too hot in these months, so May seems to be the best time to enjoy the marvelous landscape and the water in Halong Bay. If you’re lucky, you might see the bay becoming foggy in early morning.

  • In Ninh Binh, no needs to elaborate on the beauty of Tam Coc rice fields this time of year.
