Danang Arrival - Hue

Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival at Danang Airport, obtain your Vietnam visa, and then clear Immigration and Customs. After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet a local our local driver and transfer to your hotel in Hue.

Hue - Phong Nha - Phong Nha Boat trip

After breakfast, travel to Son River where we take a boat trip to the park and famed caves at Phong Nha – Ke Bang, one of the newest UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites in Vietnam. The park derives its name Phong Nha cave, containing many fascinating rock formations, and Ke Bang forest. 

Enjoy your time to explore Phong Nha cave: which the name to the whole system and the park is derived, is famous for its rock formations which have been given names such as the "Lion", the "Fairy Caves", the "Royal Court", and the "Buddha". This cave is 7729 meter long, contains 14 grottos, with a 13,969 meter long under-ground river. The scientists have surveyed 44.5 kilometer of grottos in this cave so far, but tourists can only penetrate to a distance of 1500 m. The main Phong Nha cave includes 14 chambers, connected by an underwater river that runs for 1.5 kilometer. Secondary corridors branch off in all directions. The Outer Cave and some of the Inner Caves have roofs that tower between 25 and 40 meters above the water level. the 14th chamber there may be other corridors leading to similarly large chambers, but this area proves more dangerous for explorers because of the ongoing erosion of the limestone of the cavern. The Shallow Cave is located 800 meters the cave mouth, where there is a spectacular landscape of sand and rock. Stalactites and stalagmites jut out like strange trees, exciting visitor's imaginations.

Thien Duong cave - Hue

Spend this morning to visit Thien Duong (Heaven) cave, the Vietnam’s longest cave which is filled with magical and mysterious formations. The cave is discovered in 2005 by a British Cave Research Association. The cave is in the heart of a limestone mountain range and runs through the Phong Nha-Ke Bang conservation area. Inside the cave, visitors can see stunning stalagmites and stalactites which are thousands of years of existence. Unlike Phong Nha cave, which also belong to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang complex, the atmosphere in Thien Duong is always cool and moist with an average temperature of 20-21oC. Sitting in front of the cave you can feel a cold blast of air, a pleasing respite the 30-35oC heat outside. At the beginning of the cave, there is a huge arch which is said to symbolize the Mountain Genie who will defend the prevailing peace inside. 

Travel back to Hue.

Hue Half-day City Tour - Hoi An

This morning, transfer to visit the Royal Palace which has three perimeters of rampart, namely outside to inside: Kinh Thanh (Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel)

  • Capital Citadel: This construction started in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Ming Mang
  • Royal Citadel: The Imperial City is located in the centre of the Citadel where established highest offices of Viet Nam's feudalism and sanctums honoring the cult of decreased Emperors. 
  • Forbidden Citadel: Located inside the Imperial City, behind the Throne Palace, the Forbidden Purple City is reserved for Emperor and his family. 

Enjoy a private boat trip along Hue city in Perfume River, you'll deeply immerse in Hue's pure nature & famous cultural places. The boat will take you to Thien Mu pagoda, an ancient pagoda in Hue city, can’t be missed while being in Hue. Its pagoda has seven storeys and is the tallest one in Vietnam. The temple is often the subject of folk rhymes about Hue, such is its iconic status and association with the city. 

Transfer to Hoi An.

Hoi An - My Son Sanctuary - Walk the Ancient Town

Take a coach trip to My Son, a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu Temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa (Chiem Thanh in Vietnamese). The My Son temple complex is regarded one of the foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. It is often compared with other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as Borobudur of Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Bagan of Myanmar and Ayutthava of Thailand. As of 1999, My Son has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.

In the afternoon, take a boat trip on Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha Pottery village and start experiencing the daily life of Thanh Ha villagers. It is famous nationwide for its traditional craft of making pottery and its delicate pottery products. 

Visiting the village, tourists not only see artisans making beautiful pottery products and learn about the process of making pottery products in the traditional way but also make their own products with instructions the village’s artisans (fees are on guests’ own account). 

Coming to Ancient Town, spending the of afternoon for a walking tour around this enchanting port town of Hoi an, follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the Tan Ky old house, the local market …

  • Japanese Covered Bridge dated back to the 18th century and is a beautiful historical piece of Japanese architecture. It is claimed that it was created by the Japanese then living in Hoi An as a way to reach the Chinese quarter across the water. The bridge also features the sculptures of two dogs and two monkeys representing the Chinese years in which many Japanese Emperors were born along with the fact that the building of the bridge began in the year of the dog and was completed in the year of the monkey.
  • Phuc Kien Assembly Halls was built around 1690 and functions as a traditional assembly hall for the Chinese ethnic group Fujian, China to socialize, but later was transformed a temple dedicated to their deity named Thien Hau – the goddess of sea who protects sailors danger. 
  • Fujian Assembly Hall bears all the fundamental features in structure of a Chinese Assembly Hall. 
  • Tan Ky old house is an almost perfect example of a 18th merchant’s residence in this major commercial port town. 

Around the town you can see numerous art galleries and tailor shops. You are also free to get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

Hoi An basket boat & cooking class

Transportation: Car

Start your morning with a tour to the water coconut village and have an adventure on the bamboo basket boat.
We will stop at the colorful local market. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. So make sure your camera is handy.
We continue to cycle to the vegetable village where the local farmer will show you their traditional gardening methods. At the village, we walk through the vegetable gardens where local farmers work in their fields, using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago.
Then, we cycle to our home in order to prepare for our cooking class
We have a welcome drink for rest.
After that, we will go to the kitchen, and work together with the professional chef. With the instructions of the chef, we will learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food.
Especially, you have a chance to experience how to decorate the dish in the Vietnamese way. This activity is great fun.
After the lesson, enjoy what you have cooked.
