Hanoi City Tour - Dinner at a local family

This morning, meet our tour guide and driver at hotel lobby. We'll start the city tour by visiting:

West Lake and Tran Quoc pagoda

Visit West Lake, the largest lake of the capital, once named “Foggy Lake” of its misty condition. Its name was changed to “West Lake” in 1573 to avoid the given name of King Le The Tong. Stop at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the city, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De, thus giving it an age of 1,400 years. Have ice cream at West Lake Ice Cream – Kem Ho Tay – right opposite the Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Vietnam Museum of Ethnology

A valuable centre for the exhibition and the preservation of cultural heritages of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Cyclo around Hanoi Old Quarter

Enjoy the cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, a network of narrow alleys and shop houses also known as “The 36 Streets.” This is a wonderful place to watch the local life and peruse items fabrics to crafts to exotic medicines.

Ngoc Son Temple

Ngoc Son Temple - which is located at the northern end of Sword Lake (aka Hoan Kiem Lake). From the shore, walking on the Welcoming Morning Sunlight Bridge leads to the island.

Local home-hosted dinner

In the evening, join a local family for an authentic Vietnamese food. This is not only about the good food and good time but also where we share and learn each other’s culture. The family we visit today has 4 members, parents and two teenagers who speak English well. We will join the meal with the group sharing all my family stories as well as the Vietnamese culture. We are sure to provide a unique experience while they visit our family.

Day 3
Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Tam Coc - Bich Dong - Mua Cave

This morning, check out and spend 2 hours driving to Ninh Binh.

Upon arrival, visit:

Tam Coc

Enjoy 1.5 hours of excursion by small boat along the Ngo Dong River through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers. The route includes floating through Tam Coc – the three natural grottos (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. The boats are typically rowed by one or two local women who also sell embroidered goods.

Bich Dong Pagoda

A cave pagoda which was built in the 15th century. We'll start a walking tour across a stone bridge and start hiking up the mountains on the stone steps, passing through the dark cave and we'll find ourselves on top of the mountains with private view of the surroundings.

Mua Cave

Visit Mua Caves viewpoint or (Hang Múa) and its peak mountain with a stunning panoramic view of the countryside and Ngo Dong river. There are about 500 steps on the 2 peaks and viewpoints. The highest viewpoint is the Lying Dragon Mountain (Núi Ngoạ Long) with its stone statue of Quan am (The Goddess of Mercy this is also a popular selfie spot in Ninh Binh).

Day 4
Ninh Binh - Ha Long Bay - Overnight Cruise
Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Have a leisure breakfast before taking private transfer to Ha Long Bay.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed aboard and begin a relaxing and unforgettable cruise around the breathtaking and unique limestone karsts and islets.

Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the restaurant as you sail past stunning islets and limestone mountains.

Paddle by kayak or sampan through the tranquil waters of Luon Cave, surrounded by towering limestone formations that tell stories of centuries past.

Titop Island

One of the most renowned sites in Ha Long Bay where you can get a stunning view with an easy hike. By the foot of the mountain on this island, you can enjoy diving into the clear blue waters for a refreshing swim.

Sunset Party & Cooking Demonstration

Get back to the boat and enjoy our Sunset party while our cruise sailing to the overnight anchorage. Attend a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. You can quickly learn a simple but delicious Vietnamese dish - Nem Ran (Fried Spring Roll)

After having fun with the class, enjoy dinner served at the cruise's restaurant or sundeck. Then enjoy evening activities around the bar or simply relaxing.

Ha Long Bay - Hanoi - Fly to Da Nang - Hoi An

Enjoy the stunning beauty of the bay before disembarkation.

Awaken your senses with a peaceful Tai Chi session on the sundeck, followed by a light, energizing breakfast.

Sung Sot Cave

Step into the magical world of Sung Sot Cave, where dramatic stalactites and stalagmites create an otherworldly atmosphere. Walking through steep stone steps, visitors can have the feeling of climbing the mountain and experience the excitement of stepping into the sky.

Check out & Brunch

Settle your bill at reception, then enjoy a scenic brunch as we approach the pier.

Arrive at the pier, return to Hanoi by sharing limousine. Then switch to a private car at meeting point in Hanoi to go to the airport for flight to Da Nang. 

Upon arrival, our driver transfers you to your hotel in Hoi An.

Day 6
Hoi An - Ba Na Hills - Golden Bridge - Hoi An

Early morning, check out and start our trip to Ba Na Hills, a hill station located in the Truong Son Mountain west of the city of Danang. The station, advertised as “the Dalat of Danang province” by local tourism authorities, was founded in 1919 by French colonists.

Ba Na Hills

Enjoy a cable car ride which offers a panorama of Ba Na Hills, spring stream , Danang city and Danang coast your cabin at the height of 1,487 meters above sea level. During your time on the mountain, enjoy a visit to: Fantasy Park, Le Jardin with the relics of the French colony, Linh Ung Pagoda, Golden Bridge.

Take the cable down. Return to Hoi An.

Day 7
Hoi An - Biking tour to Cam Thanh and Tra Que villages
Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, meet our tour guide at hotel and cycle to Cam Thanh. (If you can’t ride on a bicycle, you can use motorbike service at extra charge).

Bay Mau Coconut Forest

Board our river basket boat for a relaxing 30-minute ride on the Thu Bon river to Bay Mau Coconut Forest, which is recognized by the Province as an official ecological zone.

An My Rice Village

Continue cycling to An My Rice Village and visit the rice field.

Local house at Tra Que Village

Keep on cycling to a local resident's house in Tra Que Vegetable Village where you're welcome with fennel juice and take a short rest.

Cooking Class

After relaxation, we'll start to learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food.

Learn how to cook:

Hand-on experience in Tra Que Village

You are delighted to be a real gardener by wearing the clothes of the peasants with a conical hat, a yoke on your shoulder, and a hoe in hand. Manual work in the field with skill and patience (raking, fertilizing, cultivating, and watering soil) gives you different impressions. Relax with a foot massage with medicinal herbs planted in the family garden.

Cycle back to your hotel.

Day 8
Hoi An - Da Nang - Fly to Ho Chi Minh - City Tour
Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

Free time until the drop-off at Da Nang Airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh.

On arrival in Ho Chi Minh, welcome by our tour guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Then visit:

Formerly known as Independence Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, a landmark in the city.

City Hall, Ho Chi Minh Monument & Central Post Office

Explore iconic French Indochina-era buildings such as City Hall, Ho Chi Minh Monument and the neoclassical Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel which was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century.

Notre Dame Cathedral

A magnificient building located in the heart of the city and was established by French colonists. This cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880

Ho Chi Minh - Full Day Mekong Delta

In the morning, we leave Ho Chi Minh behind and head to Vietnam's rice basket of the Mekong Delta to reach My Tho -  tranquil town on the banks of the Mekong River.

Vinh Trang Pagoda

An iconic structure in the region built in early 19th century. Initially, the pagoda was simply a workshop where the owners practiced during their retirement in the neighborhood.

Cruise on the Mekong River

Board the motorboat at a pier and cruising on the Mekong River. Here, overlooking floating houses where fishes are farmed beneath the house.

Unicorn Island

Here you'll  a ride to reach a performance site where Vietnamese traditional music can be heard and seasonal tropical fruit can be tasted (included).

Hand-rowed boat trip

Get on a small hand-rowing boat to slowly cruise through a small creek with beautiful overhanging coconut trees. Lives both sides of the creek can be observed.

Local factories in Mekong Delta

Before heading to lunch, passing through a bee-keeping farm, and enjoying honey tea, a typical Mekong house can be viewed here. Continue traveling to learn the coconut candies-making process a workshop. A sample of candies can be tasted.
