Day 2: Nghia Lo - Mu Cang Chai

Meal Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today will be an amazing day with driving deeply into the golden rice terrace fields. From the top of the mountain to the valley, from near to far… everywhere is covered with yellow ripe rice. It is a golden sea that you are small and swimming in that.

We will stop at the starting point for trekking to the rice fields and villages. Encounter villages in Hua Khat where are residents of H’mong live, you’ll discover extremely simple lives and many wild characters. Yet indigenous people could not communicate with us because of the language barrier, but they are very friendly and open welcome us to visit their homes.

Leaving the village of the Hmong people you will be completely surprised to see the valley of terraced fields, which is the mark of human impact on nature in a harmonious way. We can imagine the space carved by the hands of the artists.

After lunch, you continue to go to Cai Dong – La Khat Village and enjoy the picturesque scenery of Mu Cang Chai. The beautiful scene and simple life of the Hmong people is the highlight of your first day. When you arrive at the Ecolodge, you check-in and rest for dinner with regional specialties.

This is Viet Nam’s highest mountain pass and is considered the most beautiful stretch of road in the country. On arrival in Sapa, check-in your hotel.

Take a visit to Lao Chai Ta Van, a staging point for the day’s hike. Begin the trek by descending into the rice-terraced valley. Walk through isolated villages, rice fields, and isolated thatched roof homes where H’Mong peoples live. See the H’Mong at work and at play in their distinctive dark blue dress.

Day 4: Sapa - Ban Khoang – Ta Giang Phin Village – Fanxipan Mount

Meal Provided: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, take a drive for a short road heading northwards of Sapa to O Quy Ho with several stops for magnificent landscapes of Fansipan, Sin Chai valley and especially amazing flower and vegetable farms. Then turn right to follow a narrow road for half an hour getting through the wild region with thick rain forest covering walled-up mountains, passing several waterfalls before arriving at Ban Khoang, a village of the Red Zao ethnic peoples who live their unique way of life and well maintain their traditional values.

Process along the road for about 10km to Ta Giang Phin valley inhabited by the Black Hmong who lives in some small villages scattering along a peaceful stream. Enjoy nice and short walking a part of the village path which connects village to village to witness daily activities of local life such as plowing and harrowing the fields, growing, harvesting, or doing some housework.

After that, you will be transferred to the Sapa Cable Station for a very amazing trip to Indochina’s Rooftop – Mount Fanxipan by cable car. This is particularly interesting in these northern mountains of the country, where travelers seek the rice terraces and traditional arts of minority peoples. Cultivating the land to an altitude of around 2,200 meters are the ethnic minorities the lowland Vietnamese generically call ‘Meo’ – savages – and above them looms the bulk of Hua Xi Pan: “giant protruding rock”. Take hiking of 600 stone stairs more to reach the rocky peak of The Roof of Indochina. Back to the hotel.
