Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Morning tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels: Transfer to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years.... getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors.
Afternoon tour of HCMC: Today we continue to discover Saigon's historic landmarks including the former Presidential Palace which was once headquarters for the Saigon Government during the "American War", and the War Remnants Museum, established in September 1975 in Ho Chi Minh City. It contains countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting some of the less heroic activities carried out by the US army in Vietnam. Planes, tanks, bombs and helicopters are also on display. Next visit the 1880's General Post Office and the late 19th century Notre Dame cathedral, located in a peaceful part of the city.
Overnight in Saigon
Depart from Ho Chi Minh City in early morning then head to Cai Be, Tien Giang. After 2:30 hours on road you will reach to Cai Be town. Up on arrival, you will visit Cai Be Catholic church and Cao Dai Cai Be Temple.
Embarking on boat at Cai Be pier and transferring to a home-stay on Tan Phong Island for check-in and relaxing time. The host will introduce you the family members, the fruit gardens along with the daily activities. Next, you will have lunch with the family host.
In the afternoon, you will also spend time on visiting the Mekong canals on a hand-rowing boat. The small boat will lead you travel through the tiny canals of Mekong to reach the mysterious and hidden spots.
Going back to your home-stay, you will visit the garden and catch fish for Dinner. You day will finish with listening and singing Tai Tu music.
Overnight at the home-stay in Tan Phong Islet, Cai Be
Your morning of 2nd day tour is spent for a cycling tour to visit Tan Phong Islet. Stopping at a local farmer’s house to learn how to make Jackfruit leafs cake and then cycling to Bonsai garden and talking to understand how local farmers take care for their gardens, then try plucking the fruits and tasting them.
In the afternoon, you will get back your boat for cruising to Thoi Loc ferry station and get on your car again. Drive about 4km to Flower village Cho Lach – Cai Mon. This is one of the largest flower villages of the area.
Continue your trip to Tra Vinh, the home land of many Khmer people. You will walk or cycle through the villages to Ba Mi. You will see how local farmers work on their rice paddy or see local gardeners do their gardening (growing vegetables or fruit trees). Visit Ba Mi church.
Finish your walking at a Khmer pagoda before getting back to Home-stay.
Overnight in Tra Vinh
07:30 am: After breakfast, walk or ride your bicycle through Khmer villages such Canh Dal, Tra Khao, Giong Lon to see how local people make their living or talk to the local elderly about wars that happened in the areas, etc. then ride to the big road to Cau Ke Market (visit the market and the Huynh Ky ancient house).
12:00 pm: Today your lunch is served at a local house in Cau Ke.
Going back to your home-stay and getting ready for leaving for Can Tho.
Arrive in Can Tho, you will check in a home-stay and relax. You also choose some activities around the house as Fishing, biking, fish spa, Traditional hot cupping massage…
Overnight home-stay in Can Tho
Floating market is a cultural identity of the Mekong Delta. On this day, we will visit floating markets Phung Hiep and Cai Rang.
Wake up early for visiting the Phung Hiep floating market, you will see thousands of small boats full of agricultural products. It’s said to be a fruit-market of the southern part.
Continue taking a boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) to visit the Cai Rang Floating market where hundreds of vessels gather here to trade all kind of goods.
Proceed to Chau Doc, home of many Khmer, Cham and Chinese people and it is only a few kilometers from the Cambodian border.
After storing your luggage at your hotel, you will take a driving to Sam Mountain, a particular symbol of Chau Doc town. Visit Tay An pagoda and Enjoy the sunset on the rice field.
Overnight in Chau Doc
The most unique tourist attraction in Chau Doc is floating village, a cultural character of the wetland. You will take a morning visiting to the floating village on a boat. Here, each raft is as an apartment connected together stretching along two banks of the river. A raft for staying is next to fishing rafts.
Your trip will be continued with visiting an Ancient Cham people village. It is a peaceful village with Muslim Mosques, traditional house – on – stilt and their traditional weaving.
Then you will drive to Tra Su cajuput forest, which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Take a boat trip into the forest, you will immediately feel like you are harmonizing with nature. From the observation post, you can overlook the forest with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones.
If you are lucky on these days, annual flood has come to the Delta, you can take a visiting to Tram Chim National Park on a boat.
Overnight in home-stay in Sa Dec
In the early morning, you will visit Tan Quy Dong flower village, the largest flower village in the western Mekong Delta. You will walk around and visit hundreds of colorful flower blossom.
After that, you will visit ancient Kien An Cung pagoda, which was built by Shino people when they immigrated to the area. Leaving the pagoda, you will visit ancient house Huynh Thuy Le, house of the main male character in a romantic novel The Lover by Margarite Duras.
If you would like to experience sitting on a leave, we will let you to try that feeling with driving to Phuoc Kien pagoda, where is very famous for its huge lotus leaf which can carry maximum of 140kg.
After Lunch, we drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in your hotel and relax.
