Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be

Meal provide: Lunch and Dinner

Departure early, 7.00am from Hanoi to Bac Kan province. Enjoy lunch en-route before reaching Pac Ngoi village, a small village on the side of the Lake. Almost people living here is Tay ethnic minority who remain their traditional culture in their customs, house – on – stilt and skillful weaving. Get on a boat trip to visit the lake. You can relax on board, do some wildlife spotting or listen to the legend of the lake. As you float on Ba Be Lake, you can take in the scenery of the surrounding karsts decorated with patches of wild vegetation and inhabited by all sorts of interesting creatures. The boat ride along the Nang River, with time to explore the stunning Ba Be Lake, the caves of Puong Grotto where you can explore the stalactites and stalagmites which are a result of the erosion of the river on the karst as well as looking out for the bat colony several thousand strong. Finish the boat trip in the late evening, come back to the hosted family, and refresh.

Day 2: Ba Be - Ban Gioc

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, we get back on the car again for driving to Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang Province. Ban Gioc waterfall is considered the largest in Southeast Asia. It is also known as the 4th largest water in the border line in the world. You can admire the majestic natural landscape with huge blocks of water from a height of 30m tossing white foam. Then will be time to enjoy the view and soak up the sublime atmosphere of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfall before making your way to the Nguom Ngao Grotto known for its wonderful limestone formations. On the way to Ban Gioc waterfall, you will pass Trung Khanh which is very famous for chestnuts. Local people here sell chestnuts in a special way, price on each seed. So if you want to buy, remember to buy on the way in, so on the way out, they can finish counting the seed for you. Drive back to Cao Bang town for checking the hotel and relax.

Day 3: Ban Gioc – Hanoi

Meal provided: Breakfast and Lunch

This morning, you will take a short visit to a historical site in the town, Pac Bo cave, where Ho Chi Minh President used to stay from 1941 to 1945. The left time of the day will be spent driving back to Hanoi. In the late afternoon, arrive in Hanoi, at your hotel.

3. Child policy: 

• Ages 0-2: free of charge for tour. Airfares depend on Airlines's policy at booking time
• Ages 2-5: 50% of adult price. Airfares depend on Airlines's policy at booking time
• Ages 6-10: 85% of adult price & airfare fully charges
• 11 years and older: 100% (charged as an adult)

Travel Visa

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

  • Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
    We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

We will send the visa approval letter via email to you after 7 working days.
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).


  • Step 3: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
    Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($25 for single entry visa; $50 for 1 month multiple entry visa ). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

    Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.
