Day 1: Arrival - Hanoi

Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, obtain your visa and clear Immigration and Customs. After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet outside a local driver and tour guide.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

Start a new day by visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex, an important place of pilgrimage. A traffic-free area of botanical gardens, monuments, memorials and pagodas, it’s usually crowded with groups of all ages, from all over the nation, who has come to pay their respects. Within the complex you can visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (Outside visiting as it’s closed for annual maintenance), Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Closed by, the famous One Pillar Pagoda which is built of wood on a single stone pillar 1.25 m in diameter. It is designed to resemble a lotus blossom, which is a Buddhist symbol of purity, since a lotus blossoms in a muddy pond. After that, continue to visit the Temple of Literature (Vietnamese name is Quoc Tu Giam) – The Vietnam’s first University, which was built in 1070 in honor of Confucius, his followers and Chu Van An, a moral figure in Vietnamese education. 
Have lunch at a local restaurant (on your own account)

In the afternoon, you are transferred to visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Almost no foreign tourists to Hanoi refuse to visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, where they can look into a vivid picture of the miniaturized Vietnamese ethnic community’s life. Take a cyclo in Hanoi Old Quarter – 36 streets and guilds to discover the ancient feature of Hanoi and daily life. Stop to visit Ngoc Son Temple which is located at the northern end of Sword Lake (aka Hoan Kiem Lake). From the shore, walking on the Welcoming Morning Sunlight Bridge leads to the island.

Day 3: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc

Meal provided: Breakfast

Travel to Ninh Binh province. On arrival, visit Hoa Lu temple– The ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. Enjoying the 11th & 17th century architecture style, old sculpture – carving on wood & stone depicting the daily lives, dreams and wishes for peace, good life, etc. From Hoa Lu Temple, start your fun bicycle ride to Tam Coc. You cycle on paved roads, through rice fields and local agricultural villages. Most of the bicycle ride is on peaceful inter-communal routes where the traffic is not too busy. Then, enjoy hours of excursion by small boat along the Ngo Dong River, beginning at the village of Van Lam and proceeding through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers.

The route includes floating through Tam Coc – the three natural grottos (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. The boats are typically rowed by one or two local women who also sell embroidered goods. Back to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay by Shuttle Bus

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

: You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transferred to Ha Long (For guests booking Limousine Bus or shuttle bus only).

11:30-12:00: Upon arrival in Tuan Chau Marina, you will enjoy a warm welcome by our cruise staff in the waiting lounge and complete check-in procedure.

12:00: Upon boarding, our crew welcomes you with a refreshing drink and cold towel before checking into your cabin. The vessel leaves Tuan Chau Marina, taking you on an exciting journey to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of some of the most beautiful spots in Ha Long and admire the grandeur of the Bay with thousands of limestone islands while the vessel heads to Luon Cave and Titop Island.

Enjoy your lunch at our luxurious restaurant on board while the vessel cruises toward Luon Cave and Titop Island.

14.30: Return to your room and prepare for swimming activities at Titop Island.
Visit Titop Island and hike to the top for stunning views of Ha Long Bay, or have a fun swim in the clear blue water.

16h00: Hera Cruise will take you to Luon cave area, you will participate in kayaking or rafting here around the thousand-year-old rock formations. 

17.30-18.00: Back on board, you will participate in a Sunset party & cooking class while the vessel cruises toward the shore. You can enjoy relaxing moments while sipping a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee on the sundeck amid wonderful scenery and beautiful sunset. Ha Long Bay is calm during the day, but when the sun goes down, the Bay becomes even more tranquil and peaceful.

You will be instructed to make delicious traditional Vietnamese floating rice cake by our chef and then enjoy the floating rice cake made on your own.

17.30-18.30: Happy hour – BUY 2 DRINKS GET 1 FOR FREE

19.30: Outdoor dinner. Enjoy a romantic dinner outdoors (if the weather is favorable) or restaurant

21.30: After dinner, you will enjoy a peaceful view of the Bay at night on the deck. You can also participate in evening activities such as massage (subject to additional charge), herbal foot bath in your room (free of charge), Bamboo dancing, fashion show traditional customers “Footsteps of Heritage” and some drinks at Sky Bar while admiring the breathtaking view of the Bay at night and squid fishing.

Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi by Shuttle Bus - Fly to Hue

Meal provided: Breakfast, lunch 

06.15: Start your day with Tai Chi class on the sun deck.

06.30-07.00: Enjoy light breakfast with coffee, tea, cakes, and fruits, Pho Vietnam, and egg station.

07:30: Explore Sung Sot Cave. This is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. The cave has some unique rock formations that can’t be found anywhere else. The road to the mouth of Sung Sot Cave is under the foliage. Walking through steep stone steps, visitors can have the feeling of climbing the mountain and experience the excitement of stepping into the sky.

08.30-09.30: Back on the ship, you can rest in your room, sunbathe on the sundeck, take photos of Halong Bay

09:30: Check-out.
Please place your luggage outside the cabin and leave your room key at the front desk. Our staff will transfer your baggage to the waiting area.

10.00: Enjoy an early lunch buffet at the restaurant on the 2nd floor and pay the bill if any.

11.00: Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina. 
Cycling to explore Tuan Chau Island (applied to customers using Bus) after checking out.

14:30: Back to your hotel point in Hanoi.

Continue being transferred to the airport for the flight to Hue by private car with driver only. On arrival, our driver only pick-up and transfers to the hotel in Hue.

Day 6: Hue Full day City tour

Meal provided: Breakfast

This morning, transfer to visit the Royal Palace which has three perimeters of rampart, namely from outside to inside:
– Kinh Thanh
(Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel)

– Capital Citadel: This construction started in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and was completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Ming Mang
– Royal Citadel: The Imperial City is located in the center of the Citadel where established highest offices of Viet Nam’s feudalism and sanctums honoring the cult of decreased Emperors.
– Forbidden Citadel: Located inside the Imperial City, behind the Throne Palace, the Forbidden Purple City is reserved for Emperor and his family.

Then enjoy a visit to the two tombs of the Kings of Nguyen Dynasty. Each tomb has a specific style and architecture. 
King Tu Duc’s tomb is located in a narrow valley in Duong Xuan Thuong village (currently Thuong Ba village, Thuy Xuan Commune, Hue City). It is one of the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty. 

The tomb of King Khai Dinh is located on Chau Chu Mountain near Hue in Vietnam. It was built from 1920 to 1931 taking 11 years to complete. In comparison with those of the preceding emperors, Khai Dinh’s tomb is much smaller on the surface but it is very elaborate. It is the result of the intermingling of many architectural trends: European and Asian, as well as ancient and modern.

Continue to An Hien Garden House: A short flight of steps leads through the large gateway, richly decorated with symbols and designs. From there, a path leads through the garden to a wind-screen, a white-painted brick wall designed to prevent both harsh winds and deny curious eyes a view of the house from the gate. The house is an excellent example of traditional Vietnamese architecture. Enjoy a private boat trip along Hue city in Perfume River, you’ll deeply immerse in Hue’s pure nature & famous cultural places. The boat will take you to Thien Mu Pagoda, an ancient pagoda in Hue city, that can’t be missed while being in Hue. Its pagoda has seven stories and is the tallest one in Vietnam. The temple is often the subject of folk rhymes about Hue, such as its iconic status and association with the city.

Day 7: Hue - Train to Hoi An - Ancient Town

Meal provided: Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the train station by driver only heading to DanangThe rail track goes over the ocean, through high cliffs, and some great hidden beaches and you can watch the beautiful Vietnamese countryside from the train window. The views are equally stunning.

On arrival, our driver transfer you to your hotel in Hoi An for check-in.

Day 8: My Son Sanctuary - Thanh Ha Pottery

Meal provided: Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, get into the private car and heading to My Son Sanctuary, a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu Temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa (Chiem Thanh in Vietnamese).The temples are dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva, known under various local names, the most important of which is “Bhadresvara”. From the 4th to the 14th century AD, the valley at My Son was a site of religious ceremony for kings of the ruling dynasties of Champa, as well as a burial place for Cham royalty and national heroes. It was closely associated with the nearby Cham cities of Indrapura (Dong Duong) and Simhapura (Tra Kieu). At one time, the site encompassed over 70 temples as well as numerous stele bearing historically important inscriptions in Sanskrit and Cham. The My Son temple complex is regarded one of the foremost Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. It is often compared with other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as Borobudur of Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, Bagan of Myanmar and Ayutthava of Thailand. As of 1999, My Son has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.

In the afternoon, take a boat trip on Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha Pottery village and start experiencing the daily life of Thanh Ha villagers. It is famous nationwide for its traditional craft of making pottery and its delicate pottery products. Visiting the village, tourists not only see artisans making beautiful pottery products and learn about the process of making pottery products in the traditional way but also make their own products with instructions from the village’s artisans.

Day 9: Experience Rural Life & Cooking Class At Organic Farm

Meal provided: Breakfast & Lunch

8:30 Pick you from your hotel in Hoi An, we start the day with a warm-up cycling through the its picturesque countryside. We’ll pass the local rice fields, orchards and maybe also a market for a closer look to our everyday life. After around 1 hour, we’ll arrival at the village pier for a short basket boat ride in wandering through the channels of Nipa palms (aka Coco-palm) mangrove forest. Disembark from the ride, we proceed to our Organic Farm – run by the village seniors. Here you will be welcomed by one of our farmers who will happily share with you their story about this community-based project. Following an interesting conversation, you’ll be invited to join in their daily work, such as applying organic manure, making organic pesticides to control and prevent pests, cultivate the soil for planting and watering. On completion of the gardening, you will return to the farmer’s house and use the produce harvested from the organic vegetable garden to cook a Vietnamese lunch with our host and later, enjoy your dishes at a garden-setting table (weather permitting).

Back to your hotel at around 13:00 by bicycle.

Day 10: Hoi An – Danang – Fly To Ho Chi Minh City

Our driver transfers you to Danang Airport to catch flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

On arrival, our driver will pick you up at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Hotel check in and relax.

Day 11: Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Meal provided: Breakfast

Visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. The Cu Chi Tunnel system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. And it was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years…. getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.

In the afternoon enjoy sightseeing to Reunification Palace formerly known as Independence Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, a landmark in Hochiminh City. Continue to visit City Hall, Ho Chi Minh Monument and Central Post Office which was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century. It has a neoclassical architectural style. It was designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with the surrounding area. Today, the building is a tourist attraction.

Right nearby, you can see Notre Dame Cathedral, a magnificent building located in the heart of the city and was established by French colonists. This cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of 58 meters (190 feet).

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Sa Dec – Can Tho

Meal Provided: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Be picked up at your hotel at 8:00 am and transfer to Cai Be by road. Begin cruising from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. From the sampan, observe life as it plays out on shore – people going about their daily activities against picturesque landscapes – while your attentive crew serves tea and seasonal fruit. Before arriving at Sa Dec, stop at various points along the river for a look into some of the cottage industries of the region including a brick factory where everything is made by hand, pass monkey bridges and tiny villages to visit a Cao Dai temple.

Arrive in Sa Dec and stroll to the outdoor market. Visit one of the highlights of the charming town, the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, a real-life character in the celebrated novel and film “The Lover” by Marguerite Duras.Lunch is served on board while cruising towards Can Tho along a narrow canal teeming with life. Explore the countryside surroundings by local rowboat.After returning onboard, Song Xanh Sampan continues its cruise towards the Hau River. Dinner on board.

Day 13: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City

Meal provided: Breakfast

Wake up early at 6:00 am for a visit to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market which operates daily starting from 5:00 am.

Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates towards the market among local barges loaded down with fruits and vegetables from the Delta, making for some stunning photos.

Continue cruising towards Victoria Can Tho and disembark at the hotel’s private jetty.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for check in.

    Travel Visa

    Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

    This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

    • Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
      We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

    After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).


  • Step 3: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
    Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($25 for single entry visa; $50 for 1 month multiple entry visa ). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

    Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.
