Day 1: Arrival - Hanoi

Meal provided: No meal 

Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam! Upon arrival at
Noi Bai International Airport, obtain your visa and clear Immigration and Customs.


After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet outside a local guide and driver.

Settle in and enjoy the rest of day at leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Duong Lam Village

Meal provided: Breakfast

05:00 AM: Depart to the Quang Ba flower market. Stroll between the shops that are full of colorful flowers come from different places. There is nothing but flowers at this market. Continue to the Ba Dinh square which is located in front of the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum for a very special ceremony of the National Flag Rising at 6:00 AM.

This solemn ceremony happens every morning but still attracts many people. A short distance from the square, the chaotic Chau Long market gives you surprises at every corner. Everything here is fresh: green vegetables, meats, noodles, even live chickens, ducks and fish. This is one of very few traditional open-door markets that still exist in the city center.

Drive to the Hoan Kiem Lake in the city center, joining Tai Chi, aerobic morning exercises or laughing yoga at the Ly Thai To Statue park. Take some amazing photos of the lake, even capture some pictures of parents carrying their kids on motorbikes to school. Head to the Old Quarter for a typical breakfast with a bowl of Pho and sip a cup of coffee at the trendy railway coffee, where you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness massive train passing through tiny residence of local people. Come back to hotel for a rest before continue your afternoon tour.

13:00: Enjoy a journey to Duong Lam village, outskirt of Hanoi. The trip to trace back the origin of Vietnam’s culture and Vietnam’s traditions. Take nice walk throughout the village. This is also the great chance explore architecture of ancient houses while wander along its narrow alleyways. Day tour ends with sunset capture of Long Bien Bridge, formerly known as the Paul Doumer Bridge – was one of the greatest engineering accomplishments of the French colony and a showpiece of colonial infrastructure.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

Departure early, 7.00am from Hanoi to Bac Kan province. On the way, stop at tea hills in Thai Nguyen provide before heading to Babe lake.

Enjoy lunch en-route before reaching Pac Ngoi village, a small village on the side of the Lake. Almost people living here is Tay ethnic minority whose remain their traditional culture on their customs, house – on – stilt and skillful weaving. Get on boat trip to visit the lake. You can relax on board, do some wildlife spotting or listen to the legend of the lake. As you float on Ba Be Lake, you can take in the scenery of the surrounding karsts decorated with patches of wild vegetation and inhabited by all sorts of interesting creatures.

The boat ride along the Nang River, with time to explore the stunning Ba Be Lake, the caves of Puong Grotto where you can explore the stalactites and stalagmites which are a result of the erosion of the river on the karst as well as looking out for the bat colony several thousand strong.

Finish the boat trip in the late evening, coming back to the hosted family, refresh and time to talking with the member in the family.

Day 4: Ba Be – Cao Bang

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, we get back on the car again for driving to Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang Province. Ban Gioc waterfall is considered the largest in Southeast Asia. It is also known as the 4th largest water in the border line in the world.

Then will be time to enjoy the view and soak up the sublime atmosphere of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfall before making your way to the Nguom Ngao Grotto known for its wonderful limestone formations. The next stop of the day is a visit to the traditional blacksmith’s village of the Tay minority group. Phuc Sen is an authentic ’trade village’ where people still maintain the traditional occupation that their forefathers practiced a hundred years ago.

Drive back to Cao Bang town for checking hotel and relax.

Day 5: Cao Bang – Hanoi

Enjoy your short leisure till being transferred back to Hanoi. The drive will go through villages and small towns with numerous stops along the way to give you the impression of local life in the countryside of Northern Vietnam Reach Hanoi and spend the left of day for Hanoi Old Quarter walking with your camera.

Day 6: Hanoi – Pu Luong

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

Depart for Pu Luong within almost 3 to 3.5hrs of driving.

On arrival, you enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You arrive at your accommodation in time for a delicious lunch, followed by free time to explore the beautiful retreat, with its captivating panoramic views and tranquil setting. You have the chance to get close to village life and interact with locals living in the hills above the Retreat. Glimpse at daily life, walk around working farmland and rice fields, and get to know more about the local culture. Walking back the hotel.

Day 7: Pu Luong – Ninh Binh

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

Heading to Ninh Binh after your breakfast.

On arrival, visit Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). The place attracts visitors with its many interesting stories. Climb 500 stone steps, here you can see all the way to Tam Coc, enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the countryside and Ngo Dong river.

Continue enjoying hours of excursion by small boat along the Ngo Dong River, beginning at the village of Van Lam and proceeding through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers. The route includes floating through Tam Coc – the three natural grottos (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. The boats are typically rowed by one or two local women who also sell embroidered goods.

Day 8: Ninh Binh – Halong

: You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Ha Long.

11:30-12:00 Upon arrival at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port, you will enjoy a warm welcome by our cruise staff in the waiting lounge and complete check-in procedure.

12:00 Upon boarding, our crew welcome you with a refreshing drink and cold towel before checking into your cabin. The vessel leaves Tuan Chau Marina, taking you on an exciting journey to discover the beauty of Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of some of the most beautiful spots in Ha Long and admire the grandeur of the Bay with thousands of limestone islands while the vessel heads to Trinh Nu Cave.

Enjoy your lunch at our luxurious restaurant on board while the vessel cruises toward Trinh Nu Cave.

14.00: You return to your cabin for a short rest and prepare for kayaking activities in Trinh Nu Cave area.

15.00: You will be transferred to Trinh Nu Cave by tender.

Arriving at Trinh Nu Cave area, you will take part in kayaking activitie here. To get to Trinh Nu beach, you need to kayak around thousand-year-old limestone formations and then walk for 5 minutes through Trinh Nu cave. Trinh Nu beach will amaze you with its white sand, emerald water and mild pleasant weather condition. 

17.30-18.00 Back on board, you will participate in Sunset party & cooking class while the vessel cruises toward the shore. You can enjoy relaxing moments while sipping a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee on the sundeck amid wonderful scenery and beautiful sunset. Ha Long Bay is calm during the day, but when the sun goes down, the Bay becomes even more tranquil and peaceful.
You will be instructed to make delicious traditional Vietnamese steamed rice rolls by our chef and then enjoy the rolls made on your own.

17.30-18.30 Happy hour – BUY 2 DRINK GET 1 FOR FREE

19.30 Gala Dinner. Enjoy your dinner on the Sundeck (if the weather is favorable)

20.30 After dinner, you will enjoy a peaceful view of the Bay at night on the deck. You can also participate in evening activities such as massage (subject to additional charge), herbal wood foot bath in your room (free of charge 01 herbal bag for each cabin) or enjoying music and some drinks at Sky Bar while admiring breathtaking view of the Bay at night and squid fishing.

Day 9: Halong Bay - Hanoi

 Start your day with Tai Chi class on the sundeck.

06.30-07.00 Enjoy a light breakfast with coffee, tea, cake and fruit.

07.30 Exploring Sung Sot cave. This is one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay. The cave has some unique rock formations which couldn’t be found anywhere else. The path to the mouth of Sung Sot Cave is under a canopy of leaves. Walking through steep stone steps, tourists may have the feeling of climbing on mountains and experience the excitement as if they are stepping to the sky.

08.30-09.30 Back on board, you can rest in your room, enjoy the herbal foot bath prepared by our crew, sunbathe on the sundeck, take pictures of Ha Long Bay or shop for souvenirs on the boat.

09.30 Check-out time.
Please put your luggage outside your cabin and leave the room key at the reception desk. Our staff will transfer your luggage to the waiting area. While waiting, you can shop for some products of Amanda cruise.

10.00 Enjoy early lunch buffet at the restaurant on the 2nd floor and settle the bills if any.

11.00 Arrival at Tuan Chau Marina.
Shuttle bus transfer you back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi - Departure

You are let free to stroll around before being transferred by private car with a driver only to the Airport for the departure flight to the next destination.

Travel Visa

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

  • Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
    We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

We will send the visa approval letter via email to you after 7 working days.
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).


  • Step 3: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
    Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($25 for single entry visa; $50 for 1 month multiple entry visa ). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

    Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.
