Day 1: Arrival Hanoi

Welcome to Vietnam. Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, obtain your Vietnam visa, and then clear Immigration and Customs. After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet a local Guide. From the airport, you will be privately transferred to your lovely hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Dinner with Local Family

Meal provided: Breakfast, Dinner

Family Fun in Vietnam 10 DaysMorning, transfer to the center, visit West Lake, the largest lake of the capital, once named “Foggy Lake” from its misty condition. Its name was changed to “West Lake” in 1573 to avoid the given name of King Le The Tong. Stop at Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the city, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De, thus giving it an age of 1,400 years. Have ice cream at West Lake Ice cream – Kem Ho Tay – right opposite the Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Drive to visit the Museum of Ethnology, a valuable center for the exhibition and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.

Then continue to Temple of Literature (Vietnamese name is Quoc Tu Giam) – Vietnam’s first University, which was built in 1070 in honor of Confucius, his followers, and Chu Van An, a moral figure in Vietnamese education.

Family Fun in Vietnam 10 DaysPass by Ngoc Son Temple which is located at the northern end of Sword Lake (aka Hoan Kiem Lake) and St Joseph’s Cathedral, a 19th-century neo-Gothic church built with the Notre Dame of Paris in mind. The church is a gathering place for the large Roman Catholic community of Hanoi and is also popular with tourists. Constructed when the French first occupied the city, St. Joseph Cathedral is a striking example of colonial architecture in Hanoi.

Welcome to our home in Hanoi! We are a family of 4, parents and two teenagers who speak English well. Have you ever had any chance to join in Vietnamese family to have dinner with authentic Vietnamese food? If you have not done it before, this is the must thing to do before you leave Vietnam. This is not only about good food & good time but also where we share and learn from each other’s culture. Day 3: Hanoi - Pu Luong

Family Fun in Vietnam 10 DaysThis morning, start the journey from Hanoi to Pu Luong. Stop at Thung Khe Pass for a nice view, relax your legs, drink some tea and even taste local corn.


You enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You arrive at your accommodation in time for a delicious lunch, followed by free time to explore the beautiful retreat, with its captivating panoramic views and tranquil setting.


You have the chance to get close to village life and interact with locals living in the hills above the Retreat. Glimpse at daily life, walk around working farmland and rice fields, and get to know more about the local culture. Walking back the retreat for nice dinner. 5 km easy walk – 2,5 hours.

Day 4: Pu Luong – Uoi – Lan Villages - Ninh Binh

Meal Provided: Breakfast, Lunch

This is a common and easy walk around the most beautiful valley of rice terraces in front of the Retreat. We start to descend into the beautiful valley facing the Retreat where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Then we will walk through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque Uoi village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. Your camera will not be able to sit still when you see the panorama view of the village from above.


Family Fun in VietnamContinue walk down hill to a local home, where you can take rest then take a cycle to go cycling around Lan village. If time permits, we will visit a local family where we can learn about their traditional brocade weaving (not guaranteed). Cycling through the rice paddies and another village to expolre more the landscape surround. Ride back to the local home, where the car pick-up point. You will be transferred back to Puluong retreat for lunch.


4km trek combine with 40-minute cycling Leave Pu Luong for a ride to Ninh Binh ( around 4 hours driving).

Day 5: Ninh Binh - Tam Coc - Bich Dong – Ha Long

Family Fun in VietnamEnjoy an excursion by small boat along the Ngo Dong River, beginning at the village of Van Lam and proceeding through a scenic landscape dominated by rice fields and karst towers. The route includes floating through
Tam Coc – the three natural grottos (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba), the largest of which is 125m long with its ceiling about 2m high above the water. The boats are typically rowed by one or two local women who also sell embroidered goods.


Then visit Bich Dong pagoda – a cave pagoda – which was built in the 15th century. There are 3 main pagodas here called Chua Ha, Chua Trung, and Chua Thuong. We’ll start a walking tour across a stone bridge and start hiking up the mountains on the stone steps, passing through the dark cave and we’ll find ourselves on top of the mountains with private view of the surroundings.


Get on the private van to head to Ha Long.

Day 6: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay Day Cruise - Hanoi - Hoi An by Evening flight

, we will board our private junk and begin the cruise in the bay. Located in the Gulf of Tonkin, Halong Bay is one of the world’s outstanding natural wonders, resembling a geographic work of art with thousands of limestone islets soaring dramatically from the clear emerald waters. This densely concentrated zone of karts islands, world famous for its spectacular scenery of grottoes and caves, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this tour, witness the tranquil beauty and breathtaking scenery from the decks of a traditional junk, complete with bat-winged sails. Gliding through the gin-clear waters of the bay, absorb one of the most magnificent natural splendors of the Far East. See tiny islands dotted with rock arches, sheer cliffs, innumerable white sand beaches and peaceful coves. Like sculpted cartoon characters, these limestone islands have fanciful names: Incense Burner, Stone Dog and Fighting Chickens (the symbol of Halong Bay). Stopping for the two of most beautiful caves named Thien Cung (Heaven Palace Grotto) and Dau Go (Wooden Stakes Cave). Climbing steep stairs to explore huge chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites of all kinds. Continue to enjoy this relaxing cruise through the fairyland-like landscape.


Then we head back to Ha Long harbor. Our guide and driver will take you back to Hanoi Airport for your evening flight to Da Nang. A local driver (no guide) will welcome you Da Nang Airport and you will be privately transferred to Hoi An.

Day 7: Hoi An - Market Visit - Basket Boat - Cooking Class - Ancient Town

Family Fun in VietnamMorning, you will be picked up by local tour guides at the hotel. You will be driven to Hoi An Market (around half an hour), you can feel the bustle of the morning market, have an opportunity to have a direct contact with sellers. You might also learn some tips of “bargaining” when going shopping Our tour guides will introduce to you the necessary ingredients for cooking classes. Then you will have a sightseeing tour along the Thu Bon River and Cua Dai beat by boat. On the river, you have a chance to contemplate the river beauty in the countryside of Vietnam. Next, you can get some loveable handmade souvenirs made from nipa palm leaves such as hats, watches, rings… When you do on bamboo basket boat. You will immersed natural beauty of the nipa palm forest. Then be welcome in our restaurant. At here, after you use welcome drinking, you paint on bamboo Sieve by yourself At the end, participate in cooking class with our chefs. Cooking classes will take place within 2 hours, the chef will teach you how to cook Vietnamese cultural cuisine. Then you can enjoy Vietnamese food make by yourself. Finally, you come back to the hotel by car.

Ancient Town, spending the left of the afternoon for a walking tour around this enchanting port town of Hoi an, follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the Tan Ky old house, the local market … Around the town you can see numerous art galleries and tailor shops. You are also free to get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

Day 8: Hoi An - Bana Hill – Ho Chi Minh City by late afternoon

Ba Na Hills, a hill station and resort located in the Truong Son Mountain west of the city of Danang. The station, advertised as “the Dalat of Danang province” by local tourism authorities, was founded in 1919 by French colonists. A trip on cable car will offer you a chance to admire the panorama of Ba Na Hills, spring stream, Danang city and Danang coast from your cabin at the height of 1,487 meters above sea level.


During your time on the mountain, enjoy a visit to Fantasy Park, The Le Jardin with the relics of the French, Linh Ung Pagoda, and keep taking nice walk to Golden Bridge. Take cable down and we drive straight to Da Nang airport for your evening flight to Ho Chi Minh City.


Upon arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, be welcomed by our guide to transfer to your hotel in the center.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Ben Tre - Ho Chi Minh City

Morning
, we leave Ho Chi Minh behind and head to Vietnam’s rice basket of the Mekong Delta. Arrived, boarding the motorboat at a pier and cruising on the Mekong River. Here, overlooking floating houses where fishes are farmed beneath the house (viewing from the motorboat). Continuing the journey on the river until reaching Unicorn Island), we head to the performance site where Vietnamese traditional music can be heard and seasonal tropical fruit can be tasted.


Afterward, being on a small hand-rowing boat in
An Khanh (the main mean of transportation in My Tho & Ben Tre) and slowly cruised through a small creek with beautiful overhanging coconut trees. Lives from both sides of the creek can be observed. Before heading to lunch, passing through a bee-keeping farm and enjoying honey tea, a typical Mekong house can be viewed here. Continue traveling to learn the coconut candies-making process from a workshop. A sample of candies can be tasted. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Departure

Enjoy the sightseeing at
Reunification Palace formerly known as Independence Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, a landmark in Hochiminh City. Continue to visit the Central Post Office which was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century. It has a neoclassical architectural style. It was designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with the surrounding area. Today, the building is a tourist attraction. Right nearby, you can see Notre Dame Cathedral, a magnificent building located in the heart of the city and was established by French colonists. This cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of 58 meters (190 feet). Pay a visit to Ben Thanh market, one of the earliest surviving structures in Saigon and one of symbols of Hochiminh City, popular with tourists seeking local handicrafts, textiles, ao dai, and souvenirs, as well as local cuisine.


Depending on your flight, our guide and driver will transfer you to
Tan San Nhat Airport to catch a flight back home.

Travel Visa

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.

  • Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
    We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

We will send the visa approval letter via email to you after 7 working days.
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).


  • Step 3: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
    Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($25 for single entry visa; $50 for 1 month multiple entry visa ). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

    Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.
