Long beach stretches up to 20km long in the west side of the island. Long Beach is known for its pristine beauties and natural yellow sandbanks. The sea water here is especially clean because boats don’t often sail to this side of the island.

How to get to Long Beach
With Tran Hung Dao Street running in parallel with the coastline, you can easily get access to the beach from Duong Dong Town. At South Long Beach, the street becomes highway DT975, leading all the way to An Thoi region – the gateway to An Thoi archipelago. To get access to the beach without involving with a resort, get to Long Beach village which offers a public access to the beach. Find the village around the entrance of Veranda Resort.
The Beach
Long Beach runs almost the west coast of Phu Quoc Island, dividing into two sections by Song Tranh estuary – North Long Beach and South Long Beach.
Stretching up to almost 15km in length, South Long Beach is the newer section of the beach, often called by the nam Bai Truong. You can find here few pearl farms and Dinh Ong Nam Hai temple which is dedicated to whale worship.
North Long Beach is only 5km long, but sees the most population of hotels, restaurants, resorts and bars.
What to do in Long Beach
To visit Long Beach, it’s best to go during dry season when the shore and the water are most lovely. Due to the booming of resorts along the beach, it’s quite hard to find a stretch of beach you can freely enjoy. However, you can still do a lot in Long Beach.
Long Beach village (LBV)
Despite of being quite small of a village, LBV is a tourist hub where most of backpackers choose to stay. The village is packed shops, bars, motorbike rentals and laundry…
Come to Long Beach, it’s such a pity if you don’t stay to watch the sunset here which is a magnificent light show to behold. You might even catch the green flash before the sun goes completely down.
With its long stretch, Long Beach is a perfect place to work on your tan without sharing the beach with hundreds of other people.
Long Beach also hosts some of the best beach parties to enjoy when night comes. Rooftop bars, beach bars, and international music festivals all can be found in Long Beach.
