This is your first day of Vietnam and Cambodia discovery Tour

Welcome to Vietnam.

Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, obtain your Vietnam visa (with pre-approval letter), and then clear Immigration and Customs. After collecting your baggage, exit the airport to meet outside our tour guide. He/she will be holding a sign with your names on it. From the airport, you will be privately transferred to your lovely hotel. Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi city with local life

This morning, You will visit Temple of Literature (Vietnamese name is Quoc Tu Giam) – The Vietnam’s first University, which was built in 1070 in honor of Confucius, his followers and Chu Van An, a moral figure in Vietnamese education. 

Continue to visit the Hilton Jail or Hoa Lo prison, a prison used by the French colonists in Vietnam for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for prisoners of war during the Vietnam War when it was sarcastically known to American prisoners of war as the "Hanoi Hilton".

Take a lunch at a local restaurant before transfer to to visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Almost no foreign tourists to Hanoi refuse to visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, where they can look into a vivid picture of the miniaturized Vietnamese ethnic community’s life.

Come back to the city centre to take a cyclo in Hanoi Old Quarter – 36 streets and guilds to discover the ancient feature of Hanoi and daily life

Enjoy a water puppet show. Water puppetry - " puppets that dance on water"- is a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam.

Day 3: Ninh Binh - Bai Dinh - Trang An Boat Trip - Mua Cave

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch 

Rowing boats explore Trang An world heritage site. Leave the city to Ninh Binh province (2 hours) where we will visit Bai Dinh pagoda and Trang An heritage site. Bai Dinh Temple Spiritual and Cultural Complex is a complex of Buddhist temples, is considered the largest complex of Buddhist temples in Vietnam. After have lunch in a local restaurant, we will visit a scenic area near Ninh Bình, Vietnam renowned for its boat cave tours. The Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site You will be amazed by neglected area while having boat trip through cave chains: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Sinh Cave…experiencing mysterious views of the so-called “Ha Long Bay in land”. Rest of the day, Arrive at Mua cave, start climbing almost 500 stone steps to reach at the top of Mua cave. Feel the fresh air and admire a panoramic view of beautiful Tam Coc area.

Transfer back to Hanoi for Overnight.

Day 4: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay by Limousine bus

08:45 – 09:15 LA REGINA LEGEND CRUISE luxury limousine picks you up at your hotel at Hanoi Old Quarter to travel to La Regina Private Lounge.

11:45 Arrive at Le Regina private lounge, enjoy welcome drink and express check-in before boarding.

12:30 Transferred by speed boat to La Regina Legend Cruises. Welcome aboard the cruise, refresh with our welcome drink while Cruise Manager briefing cruise orientation, activities & on board safety. The boat starts to cruising to Lan Ha Bay.

13:15 Delicious lunch is served in La Corona restaurant while the cruise is passing Chan Voi (Elephant Feet) and Tra Bau area.

14:30 Start your first off – board activity, taking bamboo boat row to discover the Dark & Light Cave

15:30 – 17:00 Cruise further to Van Boi – the most ideal paradise for swimming and kayaking

18:00 – 18:30 Indulge your time with the beautiful sunset cocktails and cooking demonstration on breezing sundeck

Day 5: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi – fly to Hue

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Morning tour of the Imperial Citadel & Thien Mu Pagoda: This morning visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City nearby. Modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing by the Nguyen emperors in the early 19th century, the city was badly damaged during the war but the imposing city walls surrounded by a large moat afford good views of Hué. The palace retains a feeling of its past scale and importance, with detailed stonework and pavilions and it is at the moment in the process of being restored to its former magnificence.

Take a boat trip along Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, sitting on the riverbank outside the city, this octagonal seven tier stupa has long been regarded as the symbol of Hué and was founded in 1601. It is still a site of Buddhist worship and its huge bell is said to be audible from the city.

Afternoon tour of Royal Mausoleums:
After lunch at local restaurant (on own account) you’ll continue to explore Emperor Tombs Hue’s environment is dotted with tombs of past emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Construction of the tombs was meticulous carried out starting whilst the king was still alive in order to ensure his comfort in the next life. Most of the tombs have courtyards, a temple for worship, statues of elephants and figures and a pond, but the layout of each is different reflecting differing each king’s personality and style. They have a lovely peaceful atmosphere. Khai Dinh and the tomb of 19th-century emperor Tu Duc, considered the
most beautiful mausoleums around Hue. Each ruler of the Imperial City built his own
tomb during his reign.

Day 6: Hue City tour – Hue Foodie Tour

Start the city tour by a visit to the Royal Palace which has three perimeters of rampart, namely from outside to inside:
Kinh Thanh (Capital Citadel), Hoang Thanh (Royal Citadel) and Tu Cam Thanh (Forbidden Citadel)

Capital Citadel: This construction started in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Ming Mang

Royal Citadel: The Imperial City is located in the centre of the Citadel where established highest offices of Viet Nam's feudalism and sanctums honoring the cult of decreased Emperors. 

Forbidden Citadel: Located inside the Imperial City, behind the Throne Palace, the Forbidden Purple City is reserved for Emperor and his family.  

Then continue to The tomb of King Khai Dinh is located in Chau Chu mountain near Hue in Vietnam. It was built from 1920 to 1931 taking 11 years to complete. In comparison with those of the preceding emperors, Khai Dinh’s tomb is much smaller in surface but it is very elaborate. It is the result of the interminglement of many architectural trends: European and Asian, as well as ancient and modern.

Transfer back to hotel and free at leisure to wait for the foodie tour.  

We pick you up at 6pm with the rickshaws at your hotel in the city center. In case your hotel is away from the center, we can send a vehicle to pick you up at extra charge. Hope you did not have a snack in the afternoon because the evening will be dedicated to food, food and food

Let’s continue with a very important part of Hue’s cuisine, its vegetarian meals, inherited from a long and strong Buddhist tradition. Each place we step in will offer an immersion into a facet of Hue’s culture.
Next delicacies, we have some STREET FOODS for a change. Take a low seat on the pavement and look at the people creating incredible dishes in their micro-kitchen. It smells delicious and it surely is.
We have some CRISPY SALTED PANCAKE, a symbol of Hue all around the country, and some GRILLED PORK on a lemongrass skewer. Yes, fine cuisine can also be found in the streets. We are in the imperial city after all. We end the evening with a dessert at a local stall selling the TRADITIONAL MIXED SWEET SOUPS of Hue. It may look weird at the first sight but don’t be fooled by the appearance, it is de-li-cious."

Day 7: Thuy Bieu Village and Cooking class – Kite village - Tam Giang Lagoon explore

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning take the boat to visit Thien Mu Pagoda – the symbol of Hue city. Back to the boat for a scenic cruise to Thuy Bieu Village – famous for Thanh Tra fruit.   Arrive Thuy Bieu, a nice walking or biking around the village. Visit the garden – house, ancient ancestral temple and communicate with local people. Visit incense-making family to discover the daily life of local people while they are working strenuously with joy and enthusiasm.

Visit joss paper-making family to know more about a traditional custom of Vietnamese people and know why they use joss paper, also known as ghost money,  for the dead people.  Visit paper painting family to see the countryside painting art of the young local artists. Come back to Thuy Bieu restaurant for COOKING CLASS, you will prepare lunch by yourself with our chief’s instruction. Then, have lunch with Hue traditional dishes you have just cooked. Relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice. Enjoy an excellent massage by blind people. End of this tour at Thuy Bieu village (around 02:30 pm) and trasfer to visit the kite making village, prepare and make a kite on your own

Later of the day, transfer to visit Tam Giang Lagoon for stunning sun set watching. You will know more about the local life here.

Day 8: Hue - transfer to Hoi An - Ancient Town Walking – Lantern making

 You’ll be driven south along highway 1 to Hoi An, a journey of approximately 3 hours with a short visit at Lang Co Beach and Hai Van Pass. 

Return to the centre, spend the rest of this afternoon for walking around the town.Visit:

Japanese Covered Bridge dated back to the 18th century and is a beautiful historical piece of Japanese architecture. It is claimed that it was created by the Japanese then living in Hoi An as a way to reach the Chinese quarter across the water. The bridge also features the sculptures of two dogs and two monkeys representing the Chinese years in which many Japanese Emperors were born along with the fact that the building of the bridge began in the year of the dog and was completed in the year of the monkey.

Phuc Kien Assembly Halls was built around 1690 and functions as a traditional assembly hall for the Chinese ethnic group from Fujian, China to socialize, but later was transformed into a temple dedicated to their deity named Thien Hau – the goddess of sea who protects sailors from danger.  Fujian Assembly Hall bears all the fundamental features in structure of a Chinese Assembly Hall. 

Tan Ky old house is an almost perfect example of a 18th merchant’s residence in this major commercial port town.

Day 9: Hoi An Farming and fishing tour (joined in)

This tour provides you with a close-up and intimate exposure to both the local farming and fishing communities. Accompanied by your tour guide, you commence the day leisurely cycling along country roads witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand, discovering all manner of photo opportunities - coming and visiting a beautiful organic vegetable village, watering and planting vegetable, hoeing a soil with local farmer, riding a water buffalo in a rice paddy field; seeing ducks swimming along the rice farm or farmers tending their crops. The photo opportunities are endless. As well you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Later you will board our boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat while the waterways of coconut palm paradise.

Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Fly to Ho Chi Minh - Saigon night life on Scooter

 Transfer to Da Nang airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh with our Driver and car (no escorted guide)

Arriving in Ho Chi Minh airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel with our tour guide and driver.

In the evening, you will take a glance of Ho Chi Minh’s nightlife with Scooter and professional rider, within 3 hrs (From 19.00 to 22.00).

Our talented guide with the motorbike picks you up at your hotel. The guide makes sure you are ok on the motorbike before weaving around the main streets and narrow alleyways to see the city. Firstly, we stop at tourist attractions in District 1 including Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Central Post Office.

Leaving the post office, we pass by Venerable Thich Quang Duc Monument. We will tell you some less-known history and story about the monk and his unburned heart. We stop at over 30-year-old Bot Chien Dat Thanh – the oldest and most famous places to eat amazing Saigon specialties including Pan-fried scrambled egg rice cake, Dumplings or Vietnamese Pancake.

Head to a Nguyen Thien Thuat apartment buildings which were built in the 1960s and have been home to lots of Saigon people. There you can see the real Saigon local life at night. Then we head to District 10 and stop at Ho Thi Ky flower market which is a huge wholesale flower market hidden in alleyways of Ho Thi Ky Street. The guide and you walk through the market to see thousands of colorful flowers, fresh vegetables, live animals, and many strange things in the local market. We also troll into a Cambodian market inside the flower market to see how locals sell and buy everything from foods to condiments. How about learning to grill a banana girdle cake until smelling and crispy? Beat the cake in a funny way and enjoy it. See how they extract sugarcane juice and enjoy a glass of iced sugarcane juice.

Stop at local noodles restaurant to try Beef Noodles Soup or Cake of Crab Noodle Soup.

Drive through Thu Thiem Tunnel and reach District 2 which is on the way to become a new urban area, political and economic center of the city. The view of Saigon at night from District 2 is really amazing and should not be missed by any traveler.

We stop at a famous street food stall to enjoy the soft, smooth, lightly sweet, greasy Flan cake topped some ice and Vietnamese black coffee.

The guide drives around Backpacker area, is also one of Ho Chi Minh’s finest, with throngs of street vendors, bia hoi stalls, lively bars, and downtown clubs filling up the lively scene.

Lastly, the guide returns you to your hotel. It is time to say goodbye, tour ends but memories last forever.

Day 11: Caibe - Tan Phong - An Binh island - Homestay

Meal provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The program will start with the visit of Cai Be floating market. Then, we’ll come to Tân Phong island for a biking / walking on village paths will be so amazing to see the local farms, houses, real life and have an opportunity to see farmers picking up their fruits on the ancestral ways in Mekong Delta.. where we can also see how they make rice-net for spring-rolls, sew coconut-leaves for cottage roof and specially see how they wave the dried water-hyacynth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes...

The rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood or palm leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta… The lunch will be served at local house. Have a cup tea when enjoying the traditional music before check-in Ut Trinh homestay (or other homestays on An Binh Island). Cooking some dishes with the owners. We enjoy diner overnight at homestay.

Day 12: Homestay - handicraft village - Vinh Long

Have a breakfast and check-out for a walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning  make an optional stop at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn...   Boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Our boat will go along the floating village. We will learn how to farm catfish on Mekong river.   Also, we can visit Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, vegetables... The cruise will end at Vinh Long city

Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh for overnight.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels – Fly to Siem Reap

Meal provided: Breakfast 

This morning, transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnel which is an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. The Cu Chi Tunnel system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. And it was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors.

You are free to chill out and relax. Depending on your departure flight, your private driver and car will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport in time for your flight to the next destination.  We wish you a safe and pleasant journey.

Day 14: Siem Reap - Angkor discovery by Tuk Tuk - Phare Circus

In the morning, pick up by tuk tuk and visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. This evening, enjoy the Phare circus show. More than just a circus, Phare performers use theater, music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories; historical, folk and modern. The young circus artists will astonish you with their energy, emotion, enthusiasm and talent, making Phare Circus the top-rated evening entertainment in Siem Reap.

Day 15: Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean And Pre Rup Sunset

Depart this morning for Banteay Srei, the only major temple that was not built by a monarch. It was constructed in the 10th century and was dedicated to the Hindu god - Shiva. Banteay Srei translates to “Citadel of the Women” and is one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings which have been preserved remarkably well. Continue on a short drive to Kbal Spean, which translates to “Bridge Head”. From the entrance it is an easy 3 km hike up to the hill passing through a thick forest offering beautiful views over the surrounding plains. On top you will find a river with many rocks under the surface holding inscriptions and Hindu statues referred to as lingas which date back to the 11th century. There is also a waterfall on top that drops significant amounts of water during the wet season but dries up entirely during the height of the dry season (March/April). Enjoy a simple picnic lunch before returning back to Siem Reap mid afternoon. In the rainy season the route may be slippery and good footwear is advised.
This afternoon can be spent at leisure, you can continue your exploration of the temples of Angkor. Start at Banteay Kdei, a 12th-Century temple that is known locally as ‘Citadel of Monks' Cells’. It's one of the smaller temples in the area which makes for a great introduction to the Angkor architecture, with intricate carvings and dramatic crumbling towers. Then continue to Pre Rup for Sunset - a crematorium temple surrounded by lovely countryside.

Most countries in South East Asia require you to obtain a visa. Please check carefully with your travel specialist regarding specific visa requirements for each country you plan to visit as the legislation does change frequently. Thailand offers a free visa on arrival to most nationalities. Other countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar offer a “visa-on-arrival” service which requires you to pay a fee at the airport, or you may prefer to obtain this in advance through the relevant embassy or a visa agent. For visa-on-arrival in Vietnam, you must submit some paperwork before you arrive.

This is an option to get your visa for Vietnam instead of getting visa at the Vietnam consulate in your country.


  • Step 1: Provide us your application details
     • Your full name (as exactly seen on your passport)
     • Your gender
     • Your date of birth
     • Your nationality
     • Your passport number
     • Your passport expiration dates ( with at least 3 vacats pagess and valid for at least 6 months)
     • Date of arrival ( dd/mm/yy)
     • Date of exit (dd/mm/yy)
     • Arrival airport
  • Step 2: Process your visa information into a visa application
    We will contact you for reviewing your visa information and then submit your application on your behalf to Vietnam Immigration department and follow other procedures pursuant to the regulations of Immigration department to get Visa approval letter granted by Immigration department.

We will send the visa approval letter via email to you after 7 working days.
After we obtain the visa approval letter from the Immigration department for you, we will forward you a scanned copy of it by email (Your visa information then have been recorded to the Visa system of the Vietnam Immigration department).


  • Step 3: Get your visa stamp on your arrival
    Just print the approval letter out, prepare 2 passport sized photos and an amount of USD for stamping fee ($25 for single entry visa; $50 for 1 month multiple entry visa ). Put all above mentioned things along with your passport in a package, then show them to Immigration officer at Vietnam arrival airports.

    Upon arrival at Vietnam’s airport, expect a simple form to fill in (or you can download here to fill beforehand), present the visa approval letter, passport, photos to the Immigration officer inside the counter and look for a place to hear your name be called to get the passport back and pay for the stamping fee. The actual process takes around 15 minutes without hassle or trouble.
