This 5-day authentic tour gives you a chance to cover the most highlighted destinations in North Vietnam. From ancient Hanoi - the capital city of Vietnam - one the oldest cities in Southeast Asia to the magnificent terrace rice fields, series of hill tribe villages in Sapa, and the wonderful UNESCO World's Heritage - Ha Long Bay.

Day 1
Arrival – Hanoi – Half-day tour

Meals provided: No meal

Transportation: private car

Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi for check-in. Then visit the Temple of Literature built in 1076 where Vietnam's first university was established to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins, and elite members - a fascinating glimpse the country's past. Afterward, enjoy a cyclo tour around Hanoi Old Quarter – 36 streets and guilds to discover the ancient feature of Hanoi and daily life. Continue to St Joseph’s Cathedral, a 19th-century neo-Gothic church built with the Notre Dame of Paris in mind. The church is a gathering place for Hanoi's predominantly Roman Catholic community and is also popular with tourists. Constructed when the French first occupied the city, St. Joseph Cathedral is a striking example of colonial architecture in Hanoi. Return to your hotel.

Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2
Hanoi – Sapa by sharing limousine – Cat Cat Village

Meals provided: Breakfast

Transportation: sharing Limousine

This morning, transfer to Sapa by the modern sharing limousine (6 hrs driving).
On arrival, visit Cat Cat village, home of Hmong ethnic minority people. The traditional trades of brocade making and silver and bronze smith are still practiced nowadays by villagers after numerous generations of their ancestors. You can see the Hmong women by their looms weaving fabrics. Relax at the food of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station constructed in the French style.
Stay overnight at a hotel in Sa Pa.

Day 3
Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Fansipan Mount with cable car – Lao Cai – Hanoi by overnight train
train [#608] Created with Sketch.

Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch

Transportation: private car

After breakfast, travel on the road down the valley Sapa about 07 kilometers to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. It is a nice ride with great views of the lush terraces. In this village, you will have welcome feeling at any house of the hospitable people there. You can interact with them, and learn about their culture and customs. there, you will follow the valley for a few miles to the next town of Ta Van.
Along the way, you will walk through terraced rice fields and among some picturesque villages, and experience a bit of rural life. Ta Van is a village of Giay people, who look more like the traditional Viet living in the Red Delta. As you walk through different hill tribe villages (Hmong and Dao people), it's helpful to have a guide to explain customs or practices to you and perhaps translate. You're sure to see other tourists on the trail (which puts many people off), but this is an excellent example of the many great treks in the area.
Afternoon you will be transferred to the Sapa Cable Station for the very amazing trip to Indochina’s Rooftop – Mount Fansipan by cable car. This is particularly interesting in these northern mountains of the country, where travelers seek the rice terraces and traditional arts of minority peoples. Cultivating the land to an altitude of around 2,200 meters are the ethnic minorities the lowland Vietnamese generically call ‘Meo’ – savages – and above them looms the bulk of Hua Xi Pan: “giant protruding rock”. You can challenge yourself when hiking 600 stone stairs more to reach the rocky peak of The Roof of Indochina. Below you spread the foothills of the Himalayas, blanketed with rainforest and the first tendrils of fog. Then transfer to Lao Cai for checking in the overnight train back to Hanoi.
Stay overnight on an overnight train.
